Stethoscopes...

I am a pre-nursing student and my family has spoken of buying me some supplies in support of my new career aspiration. My mom wants to buy me a stethoscope but we don't know which brands, lengths, etc are best. I want to be sure to get a good quality one. What are your preferences?

Re: Stethoscopes...

Try a search on this board for Stethoscopes, there have been a bunch. I like the Littman SE II Classic. Well priced, reliable, I've had mine for around 10 years.

Re: Stethoscopes...

I have the Littman Cardiology III Closeup Page

Have had the same one for 20 years now and it's been old faithful lol. I've had others and this one has lasted me and surprisingly hasnt grown legs and walked off the floors yet as some of my others have. I also had the id tag placed on it years ago to help ensure that.
