Hello to all:
I am currently a student at Broward Community College in Hollywood, Florida. I am nearly done with my pre-req. and will be applying to Nursing School for the January/Winter Term. I have an assignment to prepare for, the nursing profession and how nurses are important. I would like to post some questions so that I can complete it. What better way than to ask nurses from around the United States and gain different feedback from all of you. Any response would be so greatly appreciated.
- What department with in the hospital was the most exciting?
- What is the most difficult situation a new nurse can be exposed to?
- What are some obstacles faced in a hospital setting?
- What is the biggest obstacle you have overcome and how?
- Describe typical first year assignments.
- What qualities do successful nurses possess?
- What are nurses’ biggest challenges?
- What are your two greatest accomplishments?
- Do you think grades in school are an indicator of the ability to succeed?
- What jobs/clinical assignments have you enjoyed the most/least?
- Describe the type of relationship you think should exist between a manager and a nurse.
- What was the high point and low point of your career so far?
- What advice can you offer nursing students and graduates?
