As you may know, I am trying to find a job in another area of nursing. I was looking today and found that we have a position open in our radiation oncology group. I meet all of the requirements. However, here is my question. I am planning on becoming pregnant within the next year. Excuse my ignorance because I don't know this, but is it safe for someone in my situation to be around the radiation patients 5 days a week? I mean I'm sure that they take precautions, but do they normally employ women who are in their childbearing years?
