Hello! Im doing a project for my pediatric class about Erikson's psychosocial theory development of adolescents. This stage is all about developing a sense of identity. For the project, I have to come up with some nursing intervetions to promote/facilitate this development. Here is what i have come up with...1) Try to maintain consistent nursing staff, 2) Encourage visitors and socialization, especially with friends, siblings, and other patients, 3) Encourage self care/independence as appropriate, 4) Treat patient as normal individual, 5) Involve patient in care, decision making, and offer choices when appropriate.
What do you think of these? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or anything. Thank you and have a great day!
