Re: Pens

I prefer the pen with the 4 colors but anything will do. I dont like to buy expensive pens as they disappear or get lost faster than anything. I swear a patients bed swallowed a pen last shift. I just set it down for a second and it was gone. Luckily I had like 5 others.

I use the Bic one with the four colors as well. This way I can change off to red if I need to make a note on my assessment sheets...whatever. Only problem is the black runs out first and that's the one I use most often.

Re: Pens

Fat, writes smoothly, medium point. Even drug rep pens will do.

Re: Pens

I love Pilot retractables. They have a nice fat barrel with a grip, and they don't leak like stick pens do. My penmanship looks so nice when I write with one of these.

Re: Pens

I can't stand a pen that leaks or smudges when I write.

Re: Pens

Love the Dr. Grip. Black med point; had about three years now. I prefer it as I have a tendency to grip the pen tight while I write and since the barrel has a wider circumference (sp?) my finger doesn't cramp/ache after writing all those notes.

Me too. Pilot retractable G2 gel ink. The pen just glides over the paper making for quicker charting!

Re: Pens

Pilot retractable med. point, only problem I have is, I have to use red ink, around here the only place to buy is wally world, you have to buy a whole pack of colors to get one red. I have ordered online from offfice depot/office max, but when I checked last week and was going to reorder, the shipping was going to cost almost as much as a box of pens!!! Any ideas?

That's my favorite kind!!! I'm guilty of swiping a pen every time I go to the doctor's office. I've been known to swap pens with waitstaff (if they are using an obvious promo pen).
