Since today is the start of Nurses' Week, I want to say a heartfelt "thank you" to nurses and CNA's everywhere. I am 'justavolunteer' (on a pt unit) who has learned to have deep respect and appreciation for nurses. I see often how stressful a nurse's job can be, as well as all of the care and caring that nurses give. I have been a pt. myself before, so I have been on the receiving end of great nursing care.
Once again, "Thank you".
You know, that's the best gift I could have received. We got nothing with the Agency that I work for, not even a Happy Nurses Week. But, it means the most when someone says thank you from the heart. It makes you remember why you became a nurse in the first place. And thank you. The facility I contract for, their volunteers really take a load from the nurses doing transfers and whatnot.
