i saw a clip for this on the discovery health channel, a series about nursing care, and the importance of nursing, etc. and follows nurses in different hospitals/units.
here is a link to the discovery health channel page about the series. also has links to nursing desktop wallpaper for your computer.
Discovery Health channel has carried fine shows on nursing in the past. Unfortuately I did not see them because I do not have this channel. I can't understand why they don't main steam them on the regular Discovery Channel like they do many of their other medical shows. The regular Discovery Channel has a much wider viewership.
For those in the pacific time zone with DISH Network....
Channel 189 at 7 pm
The onscreen dish guide shows this as being the first in the series.
I remember about 12 or so years ago there was an awesome show on a PBS station that followed around ALL of the people of a medical ICU team. I think it was filmed at Johns Hopkins. Excellent, excellent show. This was before I became a nurse and I was just mezmorized...couldn't tear myself away from the television. It was a week long and on for eight straight hours at a time. Maybe it was one of the first "reality" shows?!
I'm excited about this Discovery show. Hopefully it will measure up to our tough standards and show what the profession of nursing is really all about!!
