need info about radiation

Hi

I have a patient who is receiving radiation therapy to treat lung cancer. I have never worked in oncology unit and I dont know much about it other than what I've learned in class. So what are the side effects of radiation therapy? Does it hurt a lot when she receives radiation? thanks much
