A March 2007 graduate nurse from the Philippines


i am a new graduate nurse from the philippines,i took my local board exam last june but the result are not yet release.i am applying for NCLEX exam (state,California).and im planning to take may IELTS exam on Sept 8...after i passed the local board here in the phil i am going to apply for CGFNS.those are my plans, any better advise?do I still need any work experience here in the phlippines to be able to have a job offer in California? recruitment agency for me to be able to go there faster?

I suggest having a good read in the International forum and also the Phillipine forum. To find these click on the local tab and then click on international. There are plenty of good information threads there especially the sticky/thread titled Primer to working in the US. Also would suggest reading about retrogression as there is no visas at the moment and no fast way to get to the US.

You are applying for licensure to be a RN in the US and NCLEX is the final part of the application.
