Question Question? - Management?

Hi,
I haven't posted in awhile but I have a question. I transferred from one college to another and now I have some time in my schedule. I am taking a management class right now, I am thinking about minoring in management. I just don't know if it is worth it...will employers care about a minor in management? I just don't want to be paying for classes that aren't going to get me anywhere (filler classes) so I thought about the minor as my best option for not wasting money. I really like the management class that I am in, so I'm thinking I should stick with it but there's still a question there. Is there anyone that has a minor or degree in management who is also a nurse that could give me some input? Thanks so much!

Amy

Re: Management?

I think it is a good idea. It gives you a "credential" in management that shows you have some formal education in the area. Formal credentials rarely hurt.

I always regreted that I didn't double-major at the undergraduate level. (Minors were not a possibilitly at my school.) In my MSN program, I minored in Nursing Administration and I believe it has been looked upon favorably over the years.
