Worried - Job hunting, wish me luck

I left a job where I was very unhappy and spinning my wheels everyday just to get things done. I was hired as a risk manager. So that was what I did, but, when I brought what I found to the Administrator, she took it personal and was quite nasty to me. I could not work there, see what was happening, and not be able to make the changes that needed to be made. I called today and gave specific reasons why I would not be back. The Administrator has called me and left a message that she wants me to come back but I just can't. I am salary but when I work over, I get the same pay; however if I take off anytime, it gets deducted even though I have worked overtime. Plus I was lied to about how much I would be paid, and the insurance for a family is over 500 a month. She has known that the way she speaks to me at times bothers me. I was told "That is the way she is" well, I won't be talked to that way and I won't argue, fuss and fight for changes that must be made anymore. It exhausts me and makes me physically ill.

Anyway, I have alot of exciting job prospects out there. I have been called back for a second interview as a Nurse consultant. Plus I have an interview at a psych hospital. Wish me luck in my job search.....thanks....

Re: Job hunting, wish me luck

Best wishes to you, Ginger! I am a long time nurse and have walked away from jobs that sounded great but turned out horrific. Looking back, I only regret that I spent as much time as I did in abusive situations.

I honestly believe there are great nursing jobs out there. All the best to you!
