Curious - How many theory/clinical hours does a "good" Critical Care Course have?

Hi,

I have looked at various critical care courses in my area (just out of curiosity mainly)

How many hours of clinical/theory does a good critical care course have?

There are programs that have 200 hrs of theory and 200 hrs of clinical time in critical care settings, while others have anwhere from over 300 hours of theory and only 100 hours or less of clinical...

Is it better to have more critical care theory and less hands on clincals or the opposite or is it better to have an equal mix of time in both?

How do these hours compare to critical care programs you have gone through or seen in your state/province, etc? Is approx 400 hrs total of clinical/theory lectures good or is it too much, too little?

Thanks for taking the time to respond

My course was 12 weeks, M-F, one or two days a week in theory, the rest in the unit. The first two weeks were in theory.
