Help

Being Interested in all aspects of Nursing, I have had no success in being able to obtain any reference materials for DETAILED DESCRIPTIONS & QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SPECIALIZATION AREAS FOR RN'S.
e.g. Med/Surg, Telemetry, Prn, Icu, Ccu, Post Coronary & etc...
Does anyone know if there is a Reference Book of any sort that would provide this Information to me?

Thank you for any suggestions?

What about going to a local hospital and asking if you could get a copy of their job descriptions? I don't know if they'd give you one, but it wouldn't hurt to ask.

ShandyLynn,
Thank you. That is a great idea.
I have recently made the decision to Attend Nursing School and I am currently a Recruiter, I am interested in alot of different areas. I hope after a deeper understanding of the specialties, I can make a better informed decision.
Thank you again, very much.

Try this:

The specialty organizations listed may be able to give you the description you're looking for.
