Good Luck to you renerian! I hope the phone rings soon so you don't have to wait too long. Seems to me that with your credentials and experience, and the fact you made it through all the interviews, that you have a pretty good chance of being the one they call first! Are you ready to negotiate your rate???

Flowerchild I did a websearch at salarywizard.com to see what nurses in that position make in this area and it was a wide range. I do not know anyone in this comparable position to ask either and it is to personal to ask here.

I am going to think on that one tonight.............thanks for responding and the good luck wishes!

6th and 7th interview

heck I am losing count LOL. I have a final interview session with the 5 unit docs and then one with the unit case managers. Seems a little excessive for sure now.

Oh well. I will jump through all their hoops. My interviews are on the 13th.

Hoolahan and tookie, thanks for replying. I think it is certainly the most number of interviews for one job I have ever had. I am guessing they are having a hard time picking between the two candidates. Heck if I hang out long enough maybe the other one will drop out too! LOL.

I know they had a bad manager in place before so maybe they are just being cautious.

What's the old saying" Once burned, twice shy?"

Still seems an excessive number of interviews. Do you still REALLY WANT this position and garbage most likely will need to clean up?
If the people seem really friendly and you sense postitive vibes then go for it. My only concern would be unrealistic expectations being heaped on your shoulders to bring place up to speed in a month.
Good Luck...trust what your gut tells you!
