Merry Christmas, Nurse Friends! Next year I will become an RN. I couldn't have made it this far without you all!

:Santa1:

You were awake before the kids on Christmas morn! OMG you are addicted. And...I think I'm beginning to join you all. That song is absolutely classic

I am also addicted, although I lurk more than I post. I have learned a WHOLE LOT here. From how to handle people in class, to how to handle them when I do get into that great workforce. I am so glad I found this place, it has been great!!!

Re: Happily Addicted to Allnurses.com

I'm totally addicted as well. I think its been less than a month, maybe a little more, but I'm always on here now . Sometimes I have multiple pages of this site up (right now I've got the psych page up as well).

Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmm .

Re: Happily Addicted to Allnurses.com

Someone copied this little ditty on another thread. . .

from another forum. . .

but still on this web site. . .

This is very, very funny. Thought it deserved a "resurrection" even though it ain't the "holiday season". Gave me a muchly needed chuckle and a smile.

Happy addiction. . . .

(By the way, here's the post and thread that quoted these lyrics: http://allnurses.com/forums/f98/need...-223164-2.html )

Re: Happily Addicted to Allnurses.com

I HAVE BEEN AN R.N. FOR TWENTY EIGHT YEARS and I have done all types of nursingincluding teaching, management and consulting in most clinical areas...... including PSYCH, HOME HEALTH, AND as a consultant in a LTC with responsibility for advising the DON, DDS, and the MDS COORDINATOR. I HAVE HAD MDS 2.0 training.

NOW I FIND MYSELF AS A PATIENT.I HAD TO HAVE A HIP REPLACEMENT IN DEC., 2006 (as a result of trauma in an auto accident). As an untoward and totally unpredicted effect, I suffered a stroke. I am struggling with aspects of my physical rehab and am in a wheelchair most of the time.

I am looking for a position as either MDS coordinator, TELEPHONE ADVICE NURSE, or other position that I could do from wheelchair or from home.

any suggestions ??
