I can't stand when I bust my tail working overtime and Uncle Sam gets paid-I'm not gonna work over a certain amt any longer. This is my very first posting !

Yeah, I agree, uncle sam gets way too much of my hard earned money...only to waste it. They could do so much good with that money that they get. Not to start an argument, but I think too many lazy bums sit at home and get my money by claiming "they cant work". My cousin is the best example. He makes more money than I do....he sits at home and draws disability because his back hurts too bad to work. But Ive seen him lift his 4-wheeler into the back of his truck and he sells his pain pills. Plus he gets free medical while I have to pay for mine.

Amen, I hear ya!!!

We see a LOT of people like that in the public health sector...and they drive newer model vehicles than most of the nursing staff drive,as well as having cell phones that they yak on in the lobbies or even in the exam rooms.
We just shake our heads and do our job that our taxes for working are taken out of to help support THEM.

I totally agree. There is a point where you work OT and all you end up getting for a shift is about $20. I had it figured out at one time when I kept working OT thinking I was coming out ahead and found out otherwise. I then only worked up to my certain point where I would get at least half of my pay after taxes - after that - don't even call me to ask me to work OT because it wasn't worth it.
