Re: Gre/mepn/ucsf

Hi all! I've been lurking around the forum for several months now. I have to do something with my pre-interview letter anxiety so here I am! I took the GRE in September and scored a 650 V, a 660 M (pleasant surprise!) and a 4.5 on the writing (bah). Good luck to everyone! -Kristin

Hi Eliza! Thanks for sharing your experiences with us! Question for you...from your experiences or others you've spoken to were initial rejection letters sent out at the same time as interview letters? How about for those who were interviewed, but didn't make it past that stage...did those letter go out at the same time as acceptance notices?

From the looks of it you were successful in getting in to another school..where did you end up going? What did you think of that program?

Re: Gre/mepn/ucsf

Question-- does anyone know if the letters will be sent via email or snail mail?

Re: Gre/mepn/ucsf

My impression from past years is that it will be via snail mail.

But then again, with the application process now online they could be switching that up.

There is a cynical part of me that thinks "they" are reading this board and love the fact that we're all dying to know...ROFL

Y'know, I was wondering the same thing. I also wonder if "they" read these discussion threads to see how we interact with each other. Not that they would see our real names but they might be able to guess some of them.

Re: Gre/mepn/ucsf

And sure enough most of us have identified ourselves in one way or another....GRE scores, educational experiences, past jobs, etc. It'd definitely provide some insight into how we interact with others when we don't think we're being watched.

BTW, have I mentioned today how much I love all of you and hope that, even if I don't get in, all of you do!

Re: Gre/mepn/ucsf

Another thing I've been thinking is that those of us goofballs who have Myspace, Facebook, etc. pages ought to make our profiles private. Just in case...

Oh TippyToo, what a good heart you have.

Good point about Myspace and Facebook (although I think Facebook is private by default unless you approve the viewer as a friend).
