Curious - Genetics in nursing

Hey all. My name is Jason from NY and I'm currently in the middle of my clinical program. My professor was talking to me the other day and was saying how I should looking into some general overview of genetics in nursing and the medical field since that's become bigger every year. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on some books to start me off in the area.
