Funny quotes, comics, anything!

Hi!! I'd like to pick people's brains for an idea, I'm going to post here and on the general nursing, hopefully someone can help. I'm a nursing assistant instructor and I'm graduating my first class on Friday. I got them all travel mugs that I'm filling with little things....pens, little Purel hand gels, Motrin packets (lol!), chocolate, etc....what I'm having a little problem with is the travel mugs. I got the kind that I can put my own art (or whatever) into. I was thinking of putting some clip art, or funny quotes that pertain to CNAs. I've been searching and got some ideas, but does anyone out there have any funny quotes or comics that pertain to CNAs? I'd like to keep it funny, I'm big in trying to keep up a good attitude in such a difficult and frustrating field, and I was hoping that if I put something funny on the mug the students could read it on a bad day and hopefully get a little smile. Any ideas? Thanks so much for any help!!

Good CNAs make good nurses look even better.

Great! Thanks! Maybe I'll just print out P_RN's suggestion and then add a few funny/motivating quotes? Might work! Thanks again!

Wow,what a wonderful cna instructor you are.
I,too, was once employed as a cnaI instructor at a community college on a part time and prn basis. Enjoyed teaching A LOT! It is very satisfying knowing that you're forming the basis for possible future nurses out there! And also, getting the cnas prepped for the world of nursing care, in general. I realize you want to reward them for a job well done in classroom, during clinicals, and in the future as they begin their exciting new career.
I think all of the above items you've already selected are excellent and very appropriate choices for them. I am at a loss artistically though of what to put on the travel mugs for art work...unless, maybe stick figures depicting CNAs characters...or maybe drawings of items used as a cna? or in nursing in general....syringe being held by a cat or dog maybe, or a thermometer, the old fashioned mercury kind, or a stethoscope, or a bedpan, or emesis basin? I don't know....is there a way to laserjet print pretty scenic photos of magazine pics to insert onto the mugs? Not much help here since I don't have any experiences with that sort of art work...Good luck in your search for it, though. Have a very merry christmas. Your intentions are well founded and is a very sweet thing to do...above and beyond a typical instructor! Kudos!

Thanks so much for your kind words! I'm actually going to try some of your ideas too, I think I can muster up some sort of stick figure! You're right, I do want to reward them for a job well done...they're a great class....and I'm hoping to get them started off on the right foot, in my own small way. Unfortunately they met up with some rude CNAs and nurses during clinicals and I'm hoping these people don't discourage them. Why do staff do that, anyway? I've always LOVED having ANY type of student on the unit!! I'm hoping this class remembers some of the attitudes they witnessed and try hard to treat students better. I should say these bad attitudes were NOT the majority of staff, but enough to be noticed. Again, thanks for the kind words and great ideas!

This is someone's sig line here, but it's a goodie: "Ponder the great question: Is the bedpan half full or half empty?"

How about this one, my personal favorite:

"They may not remember what you said, but
they will never forget how you made them feel."

I guess it is too long to put on the mug, but maybe on a little
slip of paper or on a card in the mug.
