So, I have been doing a nurse externship at a university hosp. in the PACU. My position is temporary only for the summer. Anyway, I have been doing real nursing stuf while there not just functioning as a nurse asst.


the nurse recruiter comes to pay me a visit friday and offers me a position in the PACU when I graduate (Dec07). She said she heard a lot of good things about me and she still rememebers our interview becasue she said i was "exceptional!!!". She also said that its unusal to take new grads in the PACU but since i was there as an extern, why not? and i guess everyone was impressed with me and could see a really good nurse in the making!!!!

I was also offered to stay at this hosp. after my externships is over and work in the pool as a NA!!!!! So needless to say I am walking on cloud 9

So delighted to hear this news! You've grown so much in your posts over the past few years. This should be an incentive to get you through this last year of school when 'Senioritis" hits.

oh yeah, I'm hoping that knowing I have a guranteed excellant oppurtunity lined up, will keep me going!
