Re: First Nursing Evaluation

i just had my first evaluation, after 7 months on the job. i was a little surprised because there were a few things that were mentioned that i was completely unaware of. and to bring it to my attention now has been useless because i am leaving in in a couple weeks (i'm an LPN, in an RN program, and i'm switching to full time school). i just wish my boss would have told me some of those things earlier so that i could have had a chance to show improvement. and now i feel as if i'm leaving with my co-workers thinking i am a certain type of employee, when that's not the case. also, these things DID affect my score, and yet were just being brought to my attention. i think it's a little unprofessional..

i feel like talking to my manager about it, but since i'm leaving, i don't think there really is any point.

I hope you read my post so you'll know how to handle this if it happens again. Nothing bothers me more than a manager who is unfair in doing these yearly evaluations. They don't know what they are doing.
