[quote=Monist]Helping someone onto a bedpan who can't get out of bed to use the toilet is perhaps the greatest honor you will ever have in this world. The rest (money, credentials, power) is all just smoke and mirrors. Cleaning someone up who has soiled themselves is the greatest act of kindness you will ever do. Shows like ER aren't real, so who cares how they portray anything?
Give me a break! You are just continuing the sterotype that nurses (mostly woman) should be joyfully running around performing "acts of kindness." Nevermind our education & professionalism. But it is okay for doctors (used to be mainly men) to demand respect and pay for their education and professionalism. Your attitude really bugs me! May you empty bedpans glore.
