Dietary/Nutrition Question

Does anyone know the answer to these two questions?
1. Is it true that cold foods, such as ice cream, take more energy for the body to use? I've heard that the body has to expend extra energy to warm the food up before it can be used. If so, does that mean you burn extra cals to warm it up?
2. If the body has an injury, something minor like a pulled muscle or something, does the body use more calories during the healing process?
Just curious! Thanks!
