Crimean-Hemorraghic Fever

Anyone ever heard of this? It's tickborne usually. It always amazes me how many unknown (at least to me) diseases keep showing up. CNN was reporting that Yugoslavia is experiencing it's largest outbreak of this "Ebola-like disease". It was interesting to note that a physician was infected probably while intubating a patient despite precautions. Some break in technique must have occurred to expose the MD.
Last article is the most recent and mentions a nurse infected from, whatelse, a needlestick.

This is a very, nasty disease which has never occurred on this continent.
