Contact exposure to drugs.

Hello,

Has anyone ever heard of nurses getting the flu, or flu like symptoms from giving flu vaccinations?

I work in a large general practice clinic and have been giving around forty flu injections a day for the past 2 weeks... (in Australia) and now I am experiencing terrible flu like symptoms.

Opinions anyone?

Thanks,

Lava RN

Re: Contact exposure to drugs.

I'm sorry you are not feeling well. But, it is not from the flu shots. The person receiving the flu shot can not even get the flu from it, so I highly doubt it is from giving the flu shot.

Hope you feel better soon.
