hi, i am currently attending a community college and im almost done with my prerequisites, i have no idea which school i want to transfer to though? i would like to know of any or your experiences and how well you liked ur school
Texas has tons of great ADN and BSN programs. To my knowledge, there is no ranked list, just word of mouth..which is always contradictory and loyalty-driven. Personally, Texas A&M Corpus was the right choice for me. Some people believe a school's NCLEX pass rate is a good indicator of the program's quality, this site is outdated yet helpful for that.. ftp://www.bne.state.tx.us/nclex10.pdf Best of luck to you!
If you are wanting to stay in the DFW area, I would recommend TWU-Dallas and UT Arlington. I have attended and taught at both schools. TWU-Dallas would be my first choice and UT Arlington would be my second. Good Luck!
I went to Baylor, which has it's nursing campus in Dallas. It has a decent enough nursing program. Lots of clinical time. Good choice for a BSN program. Of course, very $$$.
UT Health Science Center at Houston is an excellent program! Ranked as one of the top 5% nursing programs by US News. Students do clinicals in the Texas Medical Center which has some of the top hospitals in the world. I'm starting the accelerated BSN program in a week!
