Exclamation Allnurses Celebrate!

There sometimes seems to be too many negative stories about people who are tired of nursing . Please in order to inspire me and others, share any good experiences you have seen or had as nurses. Even little things like actually getting along with M.D's, fellow nurses, and helping our young instead of eating them!

Re: Allnurses Celebrate!

Just last week I cared for a heavy patient who needed the head of the bed elevated. About every hour of our 12 hour night my co workers, CNA, RN, RT, and once the pharmacy tech helped reposition and lift my patient up in bed.
All the while our clerk, who has a 'bad back', answered the phone and once a call light!

I work with wonderful friends!

Re: Allnurses Celebrate!

I work with a wonderful group of hardworking, compassionate ER nurses and staff. Everyone helps and supports everyone else. Our management even seems to care. At least lower level management. Our patients are often greatful and are always telling us how much they like our hospital compared to the other one in town. Sometimes I even leave work with a smile on my face.
Yes we have bad/swamped days, miss most breaks, have to force ourselves to take time to pee.
But I feel safe with my fellow workers and our security and really love that I work with so many compassionate, intelligent, hardworking people.
Our doctors joke with us, cry with us and even seem to respect us 98 % of the time.
