Accepted to RN course/getting LNA in meantime...question...

Hi All,
I am newly accpeted to an RN program and on waitlist until next fall. I met with the occupational therapist at the local hospital this morning and she suggested taking the LNA course and then to become an LNA Tech so I can also do phlebotomy and EKG and double my hourly pay while in school, work right at the hospital and have my schooling paid for with guaranteed hire after graduation. I am 31, have my BA in Sociology and have done some graduate work in Psychology an djust really want to find my niche here...in the medical profession. I am just wondering what the LNA process is. I have info coming to me in the mail from the local site that offers the course this fall but what can expect? Thanks to anyone who has some insight! :-) Very excited to get started on my new journey! :-)
Peace~Vanessa :-)
