Help! - accelerated bsn

hi,
i am wanting to start an accelerated course next year - preferably jan or may but i am having trouble finding a school that fits and i haven't already missed the deadline to apply. i graduated with a B.A. in biology, minor in chem and an A.A. in health sciences in 1997 - so some schools want sci courses within 3-5 years. also some schools want one to three classes such as nutrition before the semester starts. i have no problem with that but sure don't want to retake classes.
i'm located in ky so of course something close to home is preferable but location doesn't matter - accredidation does.
does anyone have any suggestions on a school? i have been searching the net for days.

Re: accelerated bsn

msxyz,
you can check out okcu (oklahoma city university) for their accelerated program. Deadline (i believe is early nov) pre-reqs are ultra basic... program is 16 months long and starts January.... school looks great.. only downside IMHO is tuition is a bit pricy... I calculated room, board and tuition to be roughly 60k....

Hi msxyz. Maybe check out Medical University of South Carolina. It is in Charleston, SC. I am not sure when the deadline is.

Re: accelerated bsn

Look at Stevenson University and Johns Hopkins--both in Maryland. Both have a "second degree" BSN program in nursing for people with other degrees. I graduated from an accelerated BSN program from University of Maryland but they have discontinued that option, apparently.

Re: accelerated bsn

University of New Mexico has an accelerated BSN that starts in May. The ap is due in January.

Santa Fe Community College has an accelerated class starting next May and I don't think you have to apply for that one until January. Let me know if you have any questions.

Re: accelerated bsn

I have a similar situation and I don't want to repeat sciences. Most California BSN programs dont have a restriction on when the sciences were taken. I am looking at University of Oaklahoma in San Diego and Glendale CA. The last time I checked UNM does have a time restriction. Most ADN programs dont have the restriction either. San Diego City college CA and Dona Ana Community College in NM are both options if you are willing to move. Just mentioned it because someone posted about Santa Fe and that is an ADN.
