On the NCLEX, the questions do start easier and then get harder. That is how the computer tests to see if you are a really good guesser or you actually know your stuff. All it does is test for MINIMUM Competency. There is a line that is passing and you have to have more questions above than below. So you could take the minimum number and fail just as easy as you passed, and the same for the maximum number of questions. AND...some unfortunate souls get all the questions, no matter what.

These are the validation tests. I don't know if the questions on the validation tests get harder, or are randomly given to you. Oh, and about 15 questions or so are just "test" test questions, they are being tested for future use on the NCLEX. I took the RN NCLEX and had 75 and passed but I also have had 4 friends take all the questions, 3 passed and one failed.
