This is Amyna from Toronto, working in MSICU for 4 yrs. Recently our unit has started thinking of creating a job for a Research Nurse in ICU. We have one in CCU but we do not have in ICU. So, if possible could you guide me with the following questions?
1) Do I need a formal training to become a Research Nurse to be eligible to work in the unit?
2) Is it a collaborative work? Which other health care departments would be involved with me?
3) What are the job description/requirement of a Research Nurse?
4) What could be the topics to do research on if someone is working in ICU?
