Patient Satisfaction Quality Assurance Indicators

I am working on a collaborative study with a business professor in India. The project involves finding out the various patient satisfaction tools used in different hospitals within the US.

I would appreciate it if you could help me with the following questions:

1) What sort of pt. satisfaction tool does your hospital use?

2) Is it a hospital formulated tool or is a professional software measuring tool? If so, could you state the one that you use?

3) Comments

This project is being done to increase consumer utilization of health care services in India. I would appreciate your response.

Re: Patient Satisfaction Quality Assurance Indicators

We use a company that contacts patients after they go home. I actually believe it is "gallop".

Re: Patient Satisfaction Quality Assurance Indicators

I used to work for a hospital that used an electronic survey device, where the patients would answer questions on a machine. It was kept an a rolling cart, not unlike a portable blood pressure machine! As I recall, we obtained a good response because the patients were interested in using it, rather than a pen and paper survey.
