i understand i have had my share in schock trauma and it was time to move on i know where you are coming from. i know for sure we have a pharmaceutical programme for nurses here at university of maryland.Most nurses who work there however the entry level is masters and persuing pHd.Did you indicate that or BSN?infact some of them work in hand at the school of pharmacy with pharm Ds.You may want to check johns hopkins too.If maryland is not your thing,you can check Indiana state university.Im now in reasearch and can not complain.

clinical reasearch is diversified and the criteria for entry differs specify what exactly what you are looking to get into.The other thing i know biotech is the only programme with 2 yr associates degree.for you to get into medtech or clinical reasesrch you have to go back to school.

Hi, I come to this site often, but rarely post. I'm an RN and a research coordinator and can't wait to build up enough time to sit for the certification exam. I just left private practice research and took a job doing research in trauma and burns. I am very excited, there is a lot to learn. Would love to hear from all of you!!!

Hi there..I have been in research for over five years. I do infectious diseases/immunology/HIV research..mostly pharmaceutical. I have also done several vaccine studies for well-children and for children with HIV. I took the CCRC exam three years ago..it's quite a challenge, but worth it!!! Nice meeting you.

So nice of you all to answer my post. Let me tell you a little about myself. I have mainly worked in the research arena. I Began in 1997 when I was an RRT, and I continued as an RN. Most of my work has been in biomedical research at the Primate center here where I live. About 8 months ago I made the leap into working with humans. It is very different and offers its own challenges!!! I am just getting started at my new job and will have to tell you all about it once I get going.

I have just started working for a gyn/oncologist, I work in the office as well as keep up with the research. It is a full time job, there is alot of paperwork to track and you have to stay on top of things/ so far I really like it but I still have alot to learn. I will be going to a national conference in Jan so I hope that will help some

Yet I too, am a research coordinator. I work in clinical trials for the hematology group in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. I just told my sister on the long 5 hour drive home in the snow from Christmas break that I love my job. For the first time in five years I love getting up in the morning and going to work. I love my patients and I too love that I have no body fluids on me. Props to you San Antonio for asking where we are!!
