I have submitted the form for Request for Validation of Registration/License for CES to PRC and I believe they have also sent it to CGFNS.
Will CGFNS accept the Validation for Registration/License from PRC considering that it is a "validation" of the EXISTENCE of the license and registration and not the conformity of the licensure to US standards as their requirement for the Visa Screen Certificate???
Am just worried that even the issuance of a CES Certificate will be affected by the pronouncemet of the CGFNS.
For whatever it is worth, and whatever is the decision of the agencies concerned, I am re-taking Tests 3 and 5 and BE DONE WITH IT. That 2006 Phil Board Exam had already caused too much grief and stress!!!
It will not effect the CES, but it will affect you getting a VSC. You are going to need to retake that exam if you wish to work in the US, the same thing that I have been saying from the very beginning. There are those that listened and already wrote and passed the December exam, and they can go on with everything.
CES does not require that you have a license in your country. The issue is strictly with ICHP and the VSC. CGFNS also will not permit a nurse to write the CGFNS exam if that was required for a specific state where you were going to work either.

I took the cgfns exam last June of 2006 and up to now I still have no certificate. I have received my Visascreen certificate though. I that normal? So should I be calling them up & follow up my CGFNS certification?

Yes, you should follow up on your CGFNS Certificate but many applicants do report that they get their VSC way ahead of the CGFNS certificate even though they applied for the CGFNS Certification way ahead of the VSC.

Question please,
I recently passed NCLEX RN Exam. I plan to initiate Visa Screen application while preparing for my IELTS Exam. Since I applied for Credentials Verification Service for New York, can CGFNS use all my previous documents submitted for CVS? Or would I go back to the same procedure where I had to follow-up my nursing school and licensing authority to send the requirements? Thank you.

My friend passed the june 2006 NLE in the philippines but because of the controversy he retook the exam last December but unfortunately he failed. But he passed the Nclex in california and an employer promised to hire him. Question: Can he be eligible for visa creen? Thanks.

They can use everything, you just need to send in the application as well as the fee.

Suggest that he retake that exam. No hospital is going to hire him without having passed that exam if he took it. If he never took it, then there would not be any issue. And with the retrogression right now, no employers are doing anything, everything is standing still. Employers are not paying for the visa bill until they know when things are over. Suggest that your friend retake that exam.

my friend's daughter that i mentioned in a previous thread who was able to pass Nclex last dec 18 and was hired as a nurse in a convalescent home in CA since jan 2007 was able to get her CA BRN license using TIN last feb 9, 2007. her lawyer must be a topnotch one since she was just 3 months in the US last jan.
i knew of many nclex passers with tourist visa who got their license only after they got their work permit authority.
my friend is bent on letting her daughter stay in the US until all her immigration papers will be okay as promised by her agency. some friends advised him to let her daughter come home while retrogression is still up, but he said the hospital will do the paperworks. so this week, she filed for her VISA SCREEN knowing fully well that she passed and has a license in the june 2006 nle. still they will take the chance getting the visacreen inspite of the stand of CGFNS. i just can't imagine how they can get away with it and get the needed visascreen. she wont come home and take the boards again.
if and when she will be able to get a visascreen inspite of the odds, i will let you know. How she will do it, we can just speculate . Filipinos are known to be getting things the filipino way. Is it ingenuity? Hope all nurses will follow the legal way of doing things. and I salute you suzanne for helping and inspiring us to do things the legal and easy way.

She won't get her VSC. The CGFNS announcement was very clear that they wont issue to those who have their license via the June 2006 exam and I HOPE she disclosed that she is a June 2006 passer because if not and later found out (and they will) it will be revoked on the basis of fraud and if they also find out that she has been doing illegal things as well then she will be deported sooner or later.
Your friend is getting her daughter to more trouble and she is very deep into it already.
