Thanks for the additional info Coincidentally i just received a letter from cgfns like a few mins. ago informing me that they reviewed my ICHP visascreen appy. nd the documents acceptable for partial review. That's in the letter. Only needed is my NCLEX result. Talk about timing! I just sent out by courier the package containing the form, request letter, bank draft earlier today!! Wowers. But unfortunately it will take time for calif brn to receive my request and finally for ichp to get my nclex results!

Thank you kathykaye and jahda for your PM's. Also, praeclarus, your inputs are valuable. I cherish your spontaneity in helping others.
To Suzzane, I value your pieces of advice. My experiences have proven them to be factual, useful and true to life. You are indeed knowledgeable and helpful. I'm really thankful for having found you and this site.
Once more, I need your suggestions. I have to do the CES and Visa Screen. I already have my license at NM and need to endorse it to IL, where my probable employer is based.
My first option is to do both the CES and Visa Screen at the same time. This way I'll do the request for validation of license and academic records twice. I might save time and energy here but I'll be paying for two fees for each validation request.
My second option is to do the CES first then the Visa Screen. Will I have to do the request for validation of license and academic records again in this second option? Which option will be faster?
Any inputs will be appreciated. God bless!

Visa Screen can use the same documents that are sent with the CES application, you do not have to resend them. You can decide when you want to submit the application and the fee with it.
And thank you for the very nice note.

It requires that you pass either the NCLEX-RN or the CGFNS exam, as well as the series of English exams if you are not exempt from them.
The CGFNS exam is only requires now in about five states, and rumor is that one or two will be removed from that remaining list as well. Do not bother with that exam if you are not going to work in a state that does not require it, or you have no way to be able to take the NCLEX exam from where you are currently located.
The application for the VSC is now only good for one year.........please do not apply for it until you have passed at least one of the required exams, or you may need to pay an additional fee.

hi... does "any type of temporary work permit" also include working visa? do i still need visa screen for it? i'm not planning to apply as immigrant, just working visa. Thanks... i know this sounds so redundant. I just want to clarify. Thank you very much! Peace!

as a RN it is a GC that you apply for. VSC is a requirement

There are no working visas for nurses, other than the H1-C that we do not recommend at all. And actually you need a VSC in hand for the petition to be submitted for that temporary visa. Not when you go to the US Embassy. Anyone working as a nurse in the US that is getting a visa, must have a Visa Screen Certificate.

Hi Ms. Suzanne.... I have applied for a CES and had just mailed my documents and payment last January. However, the pronouncement of CGFNS that June 2006 passers of the Phil. Board exam states that we have to retake tests 3 and 5. Will my application for a CES be affected??? I have submitted the form for Request for Validation of Registration/License for CES to PRC and I believe they have also sent it to CGFNS.
Will CGFNS accept the Validation for Registration/License from PRC considering that it is a "validation" of the EXISTENCE of the license and registration and not the conformity of the licensure to US standards as their requirement for the Visa Screen Certificate???
Am just worried that even the issuance of a CES Certificate will be affected by the pronouncemet of the CGFNS.
For whatever it is worth, and whatever is the decision of the agencies concerned, I am re-taking Tests 3 and 5 and BE DONE WITH IT. That 2006 Phil Board Exam had already caused too much grief and stress!!!
