Re: Visa Screen Certificate / CGFNS

Elow! I jz submitted my application for Visa Screen thru courrier mail last week. there were three of us who mailed the appls on a seprate envelope but in jz one package. My friend told me she already got an email notification from CGFNS that her application was received. How come i didn't got any email from them? I'm not sure about my other friend if he got an email too. I'm kinda worried, it's been two working days since my friend got a notification. Please help...One more thing, has anyone heard about NIS, Alda Staffing or MediNurses? Which one would you prefer?I'm choosing between the three...Thanks!

It requires that you pass either the NCLEX-RN or the CGFNS exam, as well as the series of English exams if you are not exempt from them.

The CGFNS exam is only requires now in about five states, and rumor is that one or two will be removed from that remaining list as well. Do not bother with that exam if you are not going to work in a state that does not require it, or you have no way to be able to take the NCLEX exam from where you are currently located.

The application for the VSC is now only good for one year.........please do not apply for it until you have passed at least one of the required exams, or you may need to pay an additional fee.

dear suzanne,

In my visascreen application, please advise me on what to do with my license verification. New Mexico BON informed me that it has been mailed last Jan. 5. Upon follow-up with CGFN for 3x now, CGFN advised it has not receive any license verification. I have e-mailed NM BON 4x now about this to follow-up but they have not responded back. Please advise if I just have to submit another request form and pay another $30 just so my request can move. I have already receive an 'inactivation notice' from CGFN because of the waiting status of my license verification. I will appreciate your advise on this matter. thank you very much.

Have the NM BON send another verification to ICHP. Just because they have sent it, there is never any guarantee that it got there. You should not have to pay the fee again since it was never received.

Suggest that you phone the BON...........and not use e-mail for this.

Re: Visa Screen Certificate / CGFNS

Ey 1st of all I am glad to be a part of this forum. I just have a question about the visa screen certificate lang. I took the nclex december 21 last year and got my results jan 19, 2007. I have been checking my status on the cgfns website and it says WAITING FOR REQUIRED ITEMS. I have submitted everything and only thing keeping them from reviewing is that they are waiting for my nclex results. Does it really take them that long to receive my passing results? It is already february 15! I called cgfns a few weeks ago and the girl there said na the results will automatically be sent to the BON. I hope i don't have to do anything. Is waiting all i have to do?

Re: Visa Screen Certificate / CGFNS

Please help me with some of these questions, they may seem to be petty ones but for the sake of ensuring the smooth processing of my VS Application (initial certificate) I'll be asking them:

1) About the photocopies of the documents (diploma, license) to be submitted together with the VS Application Form, are they mere photocopies or do they need to be certified true copies? I mean the documents that go together with the application that will be coming from me, not those from the validating source (such as school or licensing institution).

2) What documents do I have to submit together with my VS Application Form - diploma, license, transcript of records?

3) When signing the VS Application, do I affix my usual specimen signature? The words "Sign Entire Name - Do not Print" confuse me.

For example, my name is Ana B. Santos
My usual specimen signature is ABSantos, and this is what I'm using in all my legal documents. How will I sign it then?
If I use the my entire name in signing, I will not have documents to support such signature.

Thank you in advance for the help. God bless

If you are going to work in the US, you cannot do so without a VSC. Everything expires, nothing is permanent. If you are going to work in the US, highly recommend that you take the NCLEX exam before even thinking of coming to the US>

The results need to be sent by the BON to them, they are not automatically sent. Did you happen to submit the form to the state that you took the exam for to have them complete it and submit it?

You have to do it, it is not automatically sent, and you usually have to pay a fee for it. Tne only thing that gets sent is the English results when you list ICHP on the application, but nothing with the BON as they need your written permission to release the results.

If it took you a month to get results, that means CA, and the cost for them to fill out the form is $60 US.

Re: Visa Screen Certificate / CGFNS

oh gosh. I m getting confused. So i have to send a form to Calif. board of nursing to authorize them to release my results to cgfns?

Where can i download this form? I checked the cgfns site and looked at all the possible forms. Is it the “Request for Validation of Registration/License” form or another? If it is the request for validation of registration/license form, there is a space asking for my registration/license number. The registration ID it is talking about is the one at the bottom right corner on the ATT form right?

60 dollars as indicated in the California bon site,MISCELLANEOUS FEES, ICHP VISA SCREEN right?

So i attach a check order amt. of 60 dollars payable to "California board of registered nursing" and mail this with the form addressed to them?

How long would it take for the calif. board to receive my request? then for cgfns to receive my results?

I apologize for asking so much. I just dont want to make a mistake bec it costs lot of effort and time!

the form should be on the CA website, you complete it there and ask them to send the results to CGFNS
