You may be able to do it by telephone (cancelling application). Regarding updating your application usually it has to be done by mail and in writing. Exceptions would be NCLEX results and English exams which have to come direct from them

Hello Mauigirl. We're somewhat on the same boat. I applied my visascreen in the early part of this year thru online too. NOw that I am abput to complete all the documents needed, I have noticed that I have a new CGFNS order#. I would also like to cancel the new one.

Were you able to find the solution to your concern? How did you go about it. I e-mailed cgfns last monday (July 21, 2008) , but still no response. I'll try to call them later.

Please share with me how you were able to cancel your other account. Thanks in advance and God bless.

Re: Visa Screen Certificate / CGFNS

I'm an NCLEX-Passer for CA BRN without SSN. For the license verification requirement of CGFNS/ICHP VSC requirement of successful completion of NCLEX, I just paid $20 for 2 copies of test results to be sent to CGFNS and to my address for personal files. Just write a letter to CA BRN requesting them to send a copy to CGFNS and attach a photocopy of your notice of passing the NCLEX-RN.

Re: Visa Screen Certificate / CGFNS

CA actually charges $60 to complete the paperwork that needs to be sent to CGFNS for the VSC. You do not have a license issued so they need to do it manually.

They have to complete a document for them and it is not just sending a copy of the letter to you.

You need to check with them, have not seen them do it for the $10 that they charge for the copy for you.

Re: Visa Screen Certificate / CGFNS

The $10 Copy Of Test Results for VSC of CGFNS/ICHP for NCLEX-passers for CA BRN who do not have SSN can actually avail of this. I have checked my status order and they have received and reviewed the copy of test results as proof of successful completion of the NCLEX-RN.

Re: Visa Screen Certificate / CGFNS

I understand what you are posting, but then you got by very lucky as the fee that CA charges to complete the verification for the VSC is normally $60. We have not seen that change.

Consider yourself quite lucky, but that is not the norm for them.
Just check out all of the other threads on this forum concerning the fees for CA for the VSC.

Best of luck to you.

Re: Visa Screen Certificate / CGFNS

Hi Suzanne! Recently acquired my nursing degree and I'm planning to take my NCLEX in the US but only have tourist visa. I'm also planning to do my fingerprint scan there since according to Cal BON it is much faster if done via live scan. Can I finish everything from NCLEX Application to Examination during my stay there? I have all my requirements here already but the school transcript have just recently being sent there. Can I incorporate all that during my stay there? Do you have any suggestions on a quicker way? thanks.

We do not recommend California for initial licensure. Ca will destroy your file after 3 years if you do not provide them with a SSN and with retrogression the likelihood of meeting that is low, you are aware of issues and retrogression? You will not be able to adjust your visa once in the US

I would say it depends on how quick Ca will give their eligibility once you have done fingerprints to whether you are able to sit the exam whilst out there. Maybe quicker to do fingerprints via card.
