VISA APPOINTMENTS...Confused..Help pls..

I am very happy to be the part of such a wonderfull community...!! Thanks to all who helps each other. Now..

Below given is the link to the Madras (India) US embassy interview dates for the month of JULY 07
http://chennai.usconsulate.gov/uploa...ppoint0707.pdf

Below given is the link to the Madras (India) US embassy interview dates for the month of JUNE 07.
http://chennai.usconsulate.gov/uploa.../ivapp0706.pdf

In both months, you can see, they have given appointments for the people whose I-140 approved in 2006 june(in E3 catgary ). June apponitment was given before July Visa bullettin came out. How come? I am totally confused..!!

Also, If you say within few months/weeks this small window will be closed, then, will it go back to previouse cut off date ( For India it was June 2003)?
Pls some body answer both questions pls..
----- ------ -------
Reference to read a case number:-
......Case Number: The National Visa Center (NVC) gives each immigrant petition a case number. This number has three letters followed by ten digits (numbers). The three letters are an abbreviation for the overseas embassy or consulate that will process the immigrant visa case (for example, GUZ for Guangzhou, CDJ for Ciudad Juarez).
The digits tell us exactly when NVC created the case. For example a case with the number MNL2001747003 would be a case assigned to the U.S. Embassy in Manila. 2001 is the year in which NVC received the case from the USCIS (formerly INS). The Julian date is 747 plus 500, so this case was created on September 4, 2001, the 247th day of the year. The 003 shows that it was the third case created for Manila on that day. This case number is not the same as the USCIS receipt number, which is written on the Notice of Action, Form I-797, from the USCIS. A consular section abroad cannot find a case if all you have is the USCIS receipt number. ...... From http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/gl...html#cancelled

Re: VISA APPOINTMENTS...Confused..Help pls..

do you have approval if so what is your PD? If you have approval has your visa fee been paid and have NVC requested your DS230 paperwork. You will only get an interview if any visas are available

Not sure really what you are looking at but hope this helps a bit

My PD is Oct 06 and I am waiting for "choice of agents" form and then visa fee etc.
My question is, according to June visa bullettin E3 PD date was 2003 June(India). But look at the interview dates for June...some of them are June 2006 PD date.
U clear..?

All I can think of is the E3 is a profession that is expediated through the line. Don't forget E3 covers a lot not just health professionals

Even if E3 covers a lot of profession, we are still being controlled by PD right? As per NVC they will only process cases with PD that are current, but the schedule shows that some cases are not yet current but they are already due for interview.

Is there any way to see the scheduled appointments for interview in Manila??Maybe there are also cases like this..

Re: VISA APPOINTMENTS...Confused..Help pls..

If you do not have a completed file, meaning approval on both the I-140 and the DS-230, you will not be scheduled for an interview. That is the final step.

Remember that currently, RNs are included with the hundreds of thousands that are waiting for the green card, many are already in the US in the IT field on an H1-B visa.

Depends on their field and when their papers were submitted and how devoted their attorney was to getting things done. You forget that there are many that work for large corporations that have in-house immigration attorneys that are on top of everything, you do not always find that with the attorneys that are hired by some of the nursing agencies. Even some of the agencies do not do as they say.

PD dates are not written in stone and can fluctuate greatly at times, and we have all seen nurses get things approved when the listed PD date was before theirs, but this was when there was still the Schedule A.

Think of it in other terms, I do not even go by the PD date, but when the file was actually complete. There are attorneys that get everything submitted correctly the first time and the agency pays the bill promptly, and then that file gets completed that much quicker and they get in line for a visa that much sooner. Completed file is more important than the PD in most cases.

Re: VISA APPOINTMENTS...Confused..Help pls..

Dear Suzanne,
Thanks for your reply.
My case is like this.
My PD is Oct 2006. When I contacted my hospital two days back I got a reply like this.
"... The National Visa Center will now begin processing your petition. The next thing that will happen is that NVC will send you a Request for Agent form - be sure to put my name down as your agent:
Once you have returned the Agent form to NVC they will then write to me and request the fees. I already submitted your DS-230's.
After that, your file will be sent to the Embassy . If NVC is not too backlogged with petitions , then you should have your Embassy Interview in four to six months from now. If there is a backlog at NVC it will be longer..."

Is their any chance that I can make it this time...?
Pls advice me
Thanks.

Re: VISA APPOINTMENTS...Confused..Help pls..

Dear Sagar,
I think you are confused with the Visa catagory E3 with EB3
E3 is a special visa catagory similar to H1 Visa for Australian citizens. It has more advantages than H1 visa catagory, like Spouse can work and things like that..But it is only for Australian Citizens.I think it comes under NON -IMMIGRANT visa catagory
No Visa appointment has been made for any EB3 catagory at the Embassy
I think it is only your misunderstanding of E3 with EB3
