Is the so called ' US recession" have an effect on those foreign nurses applying for work ( migration)?,just wondering.

i've seen on the news today that recession might lead to depression that means high unemployment rate. and the news speculated that native americans might get envious of foreign nurses that the US government might favor the US nurses, cutting off foreign workers.

i hope it doesnt happen.
