totally confused?!

by vidasv

hi.. im new here and i would like to ask a few questions regarding my nclex application. i have applied in the cvs-ny state last jun2008.. and my credentials such as my transcript validation form from my school is still "waiting to be received"..

question: are the cgfns the ones who will send the transcript validation form to my school? how will i know if they sent it allready?

question: will you advise i take the online courses (child abuse and etc.) for the meantime i'm waiting for my application to be approved?

question: im worried because our mailing service here in the philippines s like doing a hocus pocus.. so.. i would like to know if anyone has any idea what mailing service cgfns uses so i can estimate the time their transcript validation form sent would be received by my school..?

im really confused and quite worried with my credentials and my transcripts.. please help.. need advice and suggestions...

thank you very much

v

yes, they will be the one to communicate your school. you will know it when they receive it in the statud of your school located at your order details. but that would take few months. remeber for NY credentials that would take from 6 to 8 months thats the rough estimate

CVS and CES are two very different items, the CVS is actually not a credentials eval. It only obtains the information directly from the source and submits it to NY.

The CES is a full credentials eval that is done by CGFNS. They are unable to be used as a substitute for each other.

You needed to list all of your trainings on the application for licensure, and then CGFNS will obtain what they need.

There is also not an application for the NCLEX exam that you will be submitting, it is an application for licensure. You are unable to apply for the exam directly.

I would not registe for those courses until you know that you meet the requirements for licensure in NY.

Average wait time is 6 to 8 months to get approval from NY to write the exam. You just sent in things two months ago, you are going to need to give it more time, months actually.

Default Re: Important --- PLEASE READ CONCERNING USER NAMES
CGFNS will send mail validation to your school which will seal your school report to CGFNS. You can ask CGFNS to use certificated mail to your country. It is taking a long time in CGFNS.
Good luck!

CGFNS do everything regarding CVS, that is what they get paid for. Average processing time fr CVS is 6 months and then your file is given to NY and they make their decision. I would just sit back and wait, too soon for things to be happening at the moment

Moved to a thread on it's own

Moved and merged from the NCLEX forum

Please do not post same question in several places, for 1 it is against terms of service and classed as spamming but also a lot easier to keep answers in the same place
