hello, i've been waiting for my approval from immigration for about 8 months already still i haven't recieve my approved petition....how long is the immigration release the approval... plsss help im exhausted of waiting....

depends where your file is, if at Nebraska and looking at the thread offering approx guidelines you are looking at approx 6-10 months roughly if filed at Texas they are moving a lot faster, unfortunately you don't have a choice where the file ends up but you can tell by the letters beginning of your receipt number

And do you know for a fact that no more infomation was requested by USCIS? No all attorneys will notify the nurse about this and that also causes delays.

But with or without the delays, you have no control over what USCIS does.

Same thing happened to me when I signed up w/ an agency in Feb 2005, w/ all my docs complete(incl.visa screen) & waited & waited..only to find out later that they haven't actually filed my case to the USCIS. After 10 mos of trusting that they were processing my case, I confronted & asked for official receipt of docs by the CIS & that's the time they only forwarded it, hence my PD became December 2005... Verify your case every step of the process. That's what I did later on. Took 5 mos from actual filing of I-140 to its approval. Good luck!

Agencies are like that, they don't file individually but by batches. Think of profit , you file separately then you spend extra considering the fees for mails/fed ex, etc.

My sister just wasted one whole year because of that when she asked for her status, she found out that they did not submit her I-140 to USICS because they met their quota already and they keep her file for the next batch. She left that agency. She would have been here in the US by early 2004. She went to another agency and got stuck with the retrogression of 2005.

She said to them since they did not do anything for one year then it its her right to look for another who was willing to file for her immedaitely. Good that the contract does not have a cancellation fee. Just lucky. Anyway, when signed with them, she already has her VSC on her expenses.

I'm here on EAD. My file is with Texas. I noticed in the USCIS case status my I-140 was received November 1st 2006. They are now processing September 2006. Meaning?

The I-485 the same thing - received 11/01/2006 and at present processing 09/13/2006. I noticed the last update on the file was dated today. Meaning?

According to the attorney they have not requested visascreen yet. Still with her. I would like to think I need not doubt her.

My concern is - and I apologise if I'm asking a question already answered somewhere on the forum. This retrogression situation - how does it affect the AOS processing? I'm so tired of hearing rumours *I think this is how it is but ... you know my friend in the XXX said that the XXX... and she's been waiting for XXX...*

My attorney says she has not received notifications of delayed processing.

I'm getting antsy because things at work have changed somewhat. There was a huge change in systems in the beginning of the year, which led to a large number of nurses resigning from their posts. We are completely relying on travelers and chronically short of staff resulting in having 5-6 patients per RN. We no longer have techs or LVN. I cannot remember the last time I was able to have lunch and carry my stash of carbs in my pocket. The pay is great but It's all spiralling out of control and frankly I want to get out before I lose my license.

Pls advise.

the difference is you have EAD and waiting for a visa but OK to work, I think the best thing would be ask this question to Suzanne in the sticky questions for Suzanne
