For those going the AOS route

For those of you that are in the US and planning to go the AOS route:
(Particularly important for those from the PIC countries and Mexico an don tourist visas.)

Be aware that as soon as the visas are no longer current, USCIS will not be accepting the I-485 petitions. They are not expected to be current next month, and also not much further into this month. When they are gone, USCIS will make a posting that the Visas are no longer current and will not be accepted as of that date. They do not give advance notice of a few days or so in advance. Just notification of when they stop accepting them.

Make sure that you are on top of things with your attorney, if you wait or do not follow up, you will need to go home.

US immigration, any of the website for any of the attorneys. You will also see it here and all over. Your attorney will be able to tell you and should notify you.

It will be coming up very soon.

Sorry, but I do not have the link in front of me. Perhaps your attorney can give it to you. They will also be notified immediately when the posting is made public. Once it is done, it is done.

I do not have enough room on my computer to store all of the links that everyone wants me to have.

Re: For those going the AOS route

i think i found it:

the link to check this kind of notice might be this one: http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/lawsre...k/chronpol.htm

a similar notice, published on 12/29/04, regarding the rescission of concurrent filing of I-140 and I-485 can also be found on the page associated to the link listed above.

(Regression of E31 and E32 Visa Numbers for Applicants from Mainland China,
India, and the Philippines
Rescission of March 31, 2004 Policy Memo re: Concurrent Adjudication of
Concurrently Filed Form I-140s and Form I-485s
12/29/04 William R. Yates HQOPS)

You have not found it, it has not been posted yet for this retrogression that is coming.

You are talking about something that happened two years ago..............
As soon as the visas are no longer current, only the I-140 will be accepted.
But you are looking at old information. You need to pay attention to the dates.

please pay attention to my posting as well. i clearly listed the date of its publication: 12/29/04. it is listed as a reference. did i said it is the one for this retrogression at all?

whoever is interested in the above info should also pay attention to the details of the info. please read carefully and be careful about making assumptions.
