Unhappy Is there light at the end of the tunnel?

Whenever I browse these forums (which is once in a blue moon) I can't help but feel a bit sad & depressed since there seems to be no positive developments regarding the retrogression situation. I just see bad news on top of bad news regarding my plans to work in the US. My papers have been filed by my agency since April & i'm bracing myself for the long haul. I'm just so pressured to already work in the US to provide adequately for my family and i really need this to happen already. With the rate that it's going, it seems that I have to wait for at least two years or maybe more for that to happen. Is there at least anything or anyone out there that could reassure me with whatever facts that even with the long wait I will one day eventually be able to work there in the US?

Re: Is there light at the end of the tunnel?

Unfortunately these days there are no guarantees that everyone will get to the US if that is their destination. The demand from certain countries is just getting higher and higher with not enough visas. Also the government is trying to get their own citizens into the equation instead of going abroad. All we can do is continue with working in the home country or look to another country to gain experience or immigrate

Have to agree with Anna on this one. There is no guarantee that anyone that takes and passes the NCLEX exam will automatically get the green card when they apply for it, even if you have an employer in place, there still is nothing concrete in stone.

The retrogression is expected to last for sometime, the I-140 that was submitted for you is not under the retrogression, but everything else is. You are looking at a few year wait at the earliest, suggest that you consider going to another country to get experience first.
