We are seeing more and more people using text messaging in their posts on this forum. Could you please not use text messaging but use this as a good opportunity to practice writting in English if English is not your first language. Also not everyone understands text messaging and is unfair to them if they are reading the post with no understanding on what is being said. Things are very similar in the hospitals where only hospital abbreviations can be used.

And to add to this: When one wishes help here, it is also polite not to use text messaging either on the forums or when sending a pm to someone for an answer to something that you need help with. You would not use it when writing to a professor, so use the same tone when writing to someone here.

Most of you are wishing to work in other countries as well, and you will be writing in full sentences with any of your charting and text messaging is not permitted there either.

We do not charge for posting here, so please spell out things properly; makes it easier for others to read and understand.

Since there have been more and more posting in this style, we are going to start to edit the posts or remove them from view. Will consider it the same as posting in another language and that is not permitted here.

Is there any consideration underway of making that a policy for the other forums here beside just Int'l? I see some posts of some of the forums that I can't even decipher. (Of course, I'm sure that's my fault for being a tired old fogey ... )

Well it does say in terms of service

Along with using proper English spelling and punctuation, this shows respect for the owner, other bulletin board members & guests and makes it easier to read your important thoughts.

I have also in the NCLEX forum commented a few times about not using text and give reason why

Feel free to enforce it on any forum. I do when I come across it. And will continue to do so.
