And thanks for keeping us posted.
Thanks for all you do in keeping nurses informed the real truth!!! Thankfully I was able to come into it with different circumstances than many and never had to face what many have to go through. Keep up the good work. I will keep you posted as to our progress. Nice way to encourage others who are going through the same thing.

Re: Texas Service Center Tracker for I-140

Hi,

My receipt notice date is Sept 2007. My girlfriend and I have been planning to get married by October 2008. If my I-140 will be approved and the visa fee bill sent and paid before we get married, will I be able to include her in my DS-230 if ever we are already married by the time that I received the DS-230? Or do I have to pay first for her visa fee bill before she can be included? As much as possible, I would like us to leave together or hoped that she can follow in six months time. Please advise and thank you very much to all who will respond.

Re: Texas Service Center Tracker for I-140

As long as she is on the DS-230 when you have it submitted, then she will get a visa at the same time as you. It has nothing to do with approval of the I-140 but getting it done before the approval of the DS-230 is done.

You cannot add her until you are actually married in the first place and can supply the required documents from her that will be required as well.

If she is not on the DS-230 when it is submitted and approved, then you are looking at about two years.

The 6 months is only the time that a family member has to join the nurse, or even the nurse has to be in the US or the green card gets cancelled.

Best of luck to you.

I-140 Approval April 28, 2008

Thanks Lawrence and John 83 for your support in this forum.

Now I get to wait in line but at least it is the last line in this long journey since it took years before we even got the chance to apply. First with my husband who lost his job in the process with IT and now with me...to get this far. Been in the US since 2000.

Welcome

Not sure about G28 but where are you and have you only filed I140? Retrogression is affecting everyone and looking at years before you get a GC
