My I-140 was approved from Texas, PD date July 07. It took pretty much 6 months to the day to hear from them.

Wish I could get excited though! If things don't change it'll be 20011/12 before we get to the USA!

Just an update:

I140 PD - July 11, 2007
Approval Date - January 28, 2008

Although there's nothing much to be thrilled about, nonetheless, thank God! At least we have something to look forward to..

When in July? We have Texas PD of July 19, 2007 and are still waiting so it seems to vary.

Approval of I-140: Who knows??? Only God knows.

Time between the notice of receipt(PD) and RFE request: Approximately 8 months

I don't know how much time is it going to take for them to arrive at a decision or look into my case when they have received the things that they requested. I hope it won't be another 8 months...

Going through the legal immigration process may be long and arduous but also makes it sweeter and we don't have to worry once we apply for naturalization someday.

I was in the same situation before. I was worried as you. But luckily it only took 3 days upon received of RFE to get an approval.We know that it's a case to case basis, but just be optimistic. Mine was processed in Nebraska Service Center. Best of Luck!
