Hello everyone, i want to get your help..waaa!. I will tell it straight, I am not a board passer, but someone told me i could get NCLEX without passing the local board exam. I have no way to get the exam in any states in US cause i dont have a visa yet.. but i have a way to get it from these countries..taiwan, saipan and hongkong.. May i know the requirements for NCLEX exam that these countries requires? anyone?

Since this board is based in the US, there may not be that many people that know the answer to your question, unless someone from Japan and the other questions you mentioned happens to see this post.

Your best bet would be to ask in the International Forum. At the top of this page there is a header that reads "Forums", click on that. In the middle of the drop down menu there's a header called "Nursing Discussions by Geographical Location" and click on it. The fifty U.S. states will appear, but at the bottom of the page you will see the International Discussions. Find a country that you are looking for or go into International Discussion. I didn't see one for Japan, but maybe someone will know in that forum.

You may read Suzanne's "Primer" on top for starters. It will answer most of your questions.

To start you off. You do not apply for NCLEX per se or to any countries.

An applicant applies to a State Board of Nursing, such as CA Board of Registered Nursing, Vermont BON, New Mexico BON, etc.. to be able to sit for the NCLEX and each State has it's own set of requirements and policies.

Some State BON let's you sit for the NCLEX w/o going through CGFNS while some will require it.

Time-frame to process your application will also depend on w/c state you choose.

You may contact your respective State BON and ask them directly regarding your case.

If you didn't take the NLE last June '06 there should be no issue at all and you can apply w/o a license and would just have to explain why you don't have one.

However, if you took it and did not passed there might be an issue and since each State BON has it's own requirements and policies the best way would ask your respective State BON about your case.

The decision of the Court of Appeals already came out and this might
affect any pending decisions each State BON has or may change their current policy.

And who knows you might also be one of those (1,+++ graduates) who originally passed but were relegated to a "fail" after the "unusual" re-computation of the PRC. These students will now be re-instated and allowed to take the oath according to the Court of Appeals.

The PRC Chairperson said that they will publish (here we go again) the names of those who will re-take and those who they "failed" but originally passed prior to the re-computation (they are now regarded as to have truly passed).

Yes, you can endorse to any state but may we ask why go through Saipan first (hope you don't mind) and why not just apply directly to the State where you want to live and work?
