Need Information - Registration !!!!

Hi everyone!!!
Ok ...please assist!!
I have applied to the NBWA for registration.
I was asked to do so by the Hospital in Perth that offered me an RN post after a telephonic interview!! They have sponsored the visa - 457visa which includes my family!!!!!

To help matters I did the IELTS
- scores: Listening 8, Reading 8, Writing 7.5. & Speaking 9
- overall band score = 8

I qualified in 2003 (RN). I have worked in the ICU's.
I am presently working as a Medical Advisor (office bound), BUT on weekends I work part-time at the TRAUMA ICU at one of the private hospitals. So I am still clinically nursing.

Do you think that the NBWA will accept this and Register me - I really do not have the money to do the Bridging course....IF I DID have the money I would not need to move to Australia to make a better life for my kids and hubby!!. I will do anything for them!!

Please respond.

Re: Registration !!!!

Hello, at the moment I am applying to NBWA and most nurses that have training overseas, they would require you to take a bridging course which is from 6 months to a year.

Hope this helps.

Re: Registration !!!!

If you apply for registration in Queensland--it is much easier, and you can save a lot of money if you pass their Challenge test----by passing the test you wont have to do the bridging course---www.qnc.qld.gov.au
good luck!

Hi Samira

All I did in OCTOBER 2007 I sent my CV to the Hospital (st John of GOD hospital in Subiaco - Perth). I sent it directly to them. I got an e-mail a week later and I was asked to make time for a telephonic interview. So the interview was on the 23rd of OCT 2007 at 6am (south african time). After they asked me all the necessary questions they told me that I have the job and that they will sponsor me and my family on a 457visa. So they actually paid for 3/4 of the visa cost. However everything else I have paid myself!!

I am sooooo excited and scared at the same time!!

BUT I know that all will go well!!

Re: Registration !!!!

Hi,

Please share how did you get the registration without having to do the Bridging course?
How I wish I could be given as such.

Re: Registration !!!!

Depends on where one did their training and what their work experience has been in the past.

If one is from the Philippines and does not have at least two years of paid hospitall experience, they are going to need to complete the bridge program.

There already is a list of countries that are exempt from this requirement, and any of the countries in SE Asia are not on the list.
