Questions for Suzanne4

Please post all questions to me here, unless they contain private information that cannot be posted to the public. It is almost impossible for me to look at every single thread on a daily basis. This will make it much easier for me, and for you to get a specific response. This will also help keep the forum much neater, and easier to find things.

Re: Questions for Suzanne4

Thanks for being the first, it makes it much easier for me.

Florida requires the CES, which is a Credentials Evaluation done by CGFNS. They will not even consider your application until they have that in hand. That is why you are seeing such a variance with time. They are very fast once they have the CES, but if you have not done that yet, that can take a couple of months. It will depend on how quickly that your school sends in your transcripts, as well as your licensing board at home. Those are the biggest factors.

Red face Re: Questions for Suzanne4

Hello Suzanne , great megasticky, but I guess I am thinking too much and complicating myself

After getting the Visascreen (with CGFNS+IELTS) can I get a job offer from any state in the US ? or just where I have applied to the BON?Does it matter if the state issues a license with or without SSN number? Because Id like to work in a state where I havent contact the Board yet as I am trying through CGFNS examination
If I start the CES for any state? should I send my documents transcripts and license to CGFNS or is it enough with what they have from Visascreen and Certification Program

thank you

Re: Questions for Suzanne4

You have the possibility of getting a job offer, but the more resputable facilities want to see proof of passing the NCLEX exam first. None of this coming over to the US and working as a CNA for two months whole you prepare.

I suggest that you worry about getting the NCLEX exam don,e some of the interviewers in Manila will not even rrelease a visa until they see proof of passing NCLEX due to some of the issues that have been occuring over here.

The CES is not the same as a CGFNS Certificate. Some states will accept the Certificate, but each state sets their own requirements.

CGFNS can use what they already have.

How long the evaluation for RN (New York State) take

Could you please tell me how long the evaluation for RN (New York State) take?
I applied for NY RN licensure and CGFNS Credentials Verification Service. CGFNS sent to NY State Board of Nursing my evaluation documents. When I asked NY State Board of Nursing first time, they told me that the evaluation will be completed in 4-6 weeks after the time when they received my CGFNS documents. After first deadline was passed, they gave me a second deadline, 8 weeks to wait. I really want to know how long the evaluation process (NY State) should be taken to arrange my study schedule.

Hi Suzzane! I have a question about endorsement of license. A friend of mine has a license in Utah but now it seemed she will be assigned by our employer in california and she is just to request a license by endorsement. Like me she doesn't have an SS# yet, we will get one once we arrive in California. How long does the endorsement take to be approve? Does she need to file the endorsement while we are still here in Philippines? Thanks, I'll look forward for your reply.

Lightbulb Re: Questions for Suzanne4

Suzanne...This is really confusing all the test and screens and certifications. Is it easier to find an agency to help with the process? Will an agency help me even if my plan to relocate is in a year?

Thanks Again & again & again...

Things are usually done two weeks after they recieve the file from CGFNS, but since it is now graudation time, that time frame may be increased. Ince they get it, and you pay the fee to Pearosn-Vue, they issue the ATT right away.
