Re: Questions for Suzanne4

^ yeah My CES was already completed May 27th. I would imagine they have received it by now. I really hope that it is the case, because it would make sense for them to receive CES directly from CGFNS so it is free from tampering no? (same logic as receiving transcripts directly from the school)

I would contact BON once they receive my application. Thanks for the quick reply.

Even if you find an employer there is nothing you can do to stay in the US and work due to retrogression. Doubt there will be any opportunities for a few years to AOS if at all. Make sure you do not overstay your visa otherwise will result in a ban. Many employers are not accepting foreign trained nurses due to the long delays, you can keep trying to find an employer but be prepared to go home

Does not matter if you find a hospital, the issue is that there are no visas for you to remain here. And this has been the case for over the past year, and something that you should have known about before you came.

Trying to find an employer now with a known expected wait of more than five years is going to be quite difficult as you are finding out.

You have no choice but to return home before your visa expires. Even if thinking of one of the temporary visas will not work for you as you must have the VSC in hand before applying for them and you cannot remain in the US while they are being processed.

Unfortunately, that is how things are. But you should have known about al of this before you came here and what we have been telling everyone for sometime. There is no way to come to the US and remain here, plus even thinking about it is looked down upon, as it means that you think that you should be able to go in front of everyone else that is waiting in line and has done things the correct way. Does not matter what was done before, but the fact that there has been no way to adjust a visa at this time, and yet people continue to come over here and think that things do not apply to them.

Sorry to sound mean about this, but when I have co-moderators that have been waiting for visas and then someone wants to walk in front of them, it gets me irritated and mad. Do not take it personally since I do not know you, but these are my feelings on the subject and I happen to be very vocal about them.

Re: Questions for Suzanne4

Hi Suzanne,

I am a UK nurse currently working as an RMN.
GA BON have recently written to me asking me to sit the NCLEX. I have a three year deadline. I am anxious about sitting the NCLEX despite, having the matetials you suggested. Is there any courses that one can do in the UK or US that will prepare you for the NCLEX.

My program was designed for the foreign trained nurse to begin with. And it works just fine if followed exactly.

Nothing else that I would recommend.

Do you know for a fact that the transcripts were sent by your school? They are never accepted from you, they need to be in a sealed envelope from the school.

Where was your training done for the MSN?

How was the application sent? And from where? 12/23 is two days before Christmas as well, and things did not return to normal until after the holidays.

What about fingerprints? Were they done?

Re: Questions for Suzanne4

Thank you Suzanne for your response. Actually my transcripts were sent in a sealed envelop from my school, and this envelop along with other required documents (and fingerprints)were sent at the same large envelop and sent by ARAMEX company. How can ask about my application progression. Thank you very much again

Re: Questions for Suzanne4

Do you actually know that they received them? Do you have verification of that? Remember that when you use one of the smaller courier services, they usually do not deliver in the US and then use a third party to do that for you.

If it has been this long, then something is missing more than likely. Try sending a fax to them.

But you also need to take into account that there is a retrogression at this time, and CA does not issue a license without a SSN#. Do you actually have a SSN#? If not please do some reading on this forum to find all of the threads about going for licensure in CA for initial registration.
